At 22:45 p.m. on April 18,2021 flight RF9420, a full load of Chinese cargo, took off from the Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, successfully making its maiden voyage on the regular cargo route from Zhengzhou to Athens, it is the second central and eastern European regular cargo route opened in Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport after the opening of an international regular cargo route to Budapest, and is believed to be the first Chinese mainland to Athens. At about 2100 hours on the evening of April 18, the flight from Russia to Zhengzhou began to fly the regular international cargo route from Zhengzhou to Athens. The cargo flight carries the aircraft type B757-200F, at Zhengzhou airport, the outgoing cargo is shoes, clothing, toys, small commodities and other cross-border high-class goods. At the beginning of the flight, it is planned to fly 2 flights per week, later, according to the market situation gradually encrypted to 4 flights per week. It is understood that the regular freight route from Zhengzhou to Athens is chartered and operated by universal access, a freight forwarding company that entered the operation in Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport last year. For more than a year, it has made full use of the advantages of Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport's air route network, security capability, customs clearance efficiency and innovative development, expanded the scale of cargo collection and distribution, and gradually chartered transport capacity to open cargo routes in Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport. In the early stage, it has opened a regular cargo route from Zhengzhou to Budapest every week, and is actively promoting the construction of Budapest Overseas Cargo Terminal Project with Henan Airport Group. According to the latest statistics from the airport group of Henan Province, as of mid-april, Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport's annual cargo throughput has exceeded 200,000 tons, up 69 per cent year-on-year, ranking sixth among the country's more than 240 civil airports. Of the 200,000 tonnes of cargo completed in Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport this year, international and regional shipments have reached 150,000 tonnes, up 99.9 per cent year-on-year, fully demonstrating the province's dynamism in opening up to the outside world.
