Walking into the construction site of the West runway of Ezhou Huahu airport, the 3600m long runway has been paved with a layer of asphalt. It is understood that Huahu airport plans to build two long-distance runways with a length of 3600m, a width of 45m and a 4E standard in the East and West, and plans to build the third runway in the east of the East runway in the long term.
As a professional freight airport, Huahu airport will realize a 1.5-hour flight circle after it is put into operation in 2021, covering five national urban agglomerations, radiating 90% of the country's total economy and 80% of the population.

Huahu airport, together with Wuhan Tianhe Airport, Yangluo port, Sanjiang port, Wujiashan railway hub and other transportation hubs, will jointly form the "rail, water, public and air" multimodal transport system in Wuhan metropolitan area, forming a development pattern of "water port, land port and air port" linkage.

The total length of Wuhan anqing section is 386.5km, with meandering waterways and shallow beaches. It is necessary to construct 24 shoal protection belts, 4 bottom protection belts, 5 dam bodies, 15.4km high beach protection, 13.3km bank protection reinforcement, 4.77 million cubic meters of infrastructure dredging and ecological construction projects. The daijiazhou section of Ezhou water area is one of them.
"We make every effort to build a 'green project', widely using steel wire mesh, ecological slope brick and other eco-friendly structural construction." Li Ping, deputy project manager of the bid section II of the 6-meter-deep waterway regulation project of Wuhan anqing section of the Yangtze River trunk line, introduced that two shoal protection belts with lengths of 690 meters and 685 meters were built at the Bank of Chihu port to protect the 330 meter high shoreline of each shoal protection belt.
Now, the 6-meter-deep waterway regulation project of Wuhan anqing section of the Yangtze River trunk line has been fully completed and put into trial operation. 10000 DWT ships within 6 meters of draught can pass through, forming a "water highway" that "runs smoothly in Hubei, Jiangxi and Anhui, and reaches Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai", realizing another leap in the navigation capacity of the Yangtze River trunk line. According to the budget, after the project is put into operation, the regional GDP will increase by more than 45 billion yuan.
