On December 19, China southern airlines group limited (hereinafter referred to as "China southern airlines") and finnair (hereinafter referred to as "finnair") signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation in guangzhou, and will carry out code-sharing cooperation after obtaining regulatory approval.

The two sides plan to officially carry out code sharing cooperation from April 22, 2019 after obtaining approval from the relevant civil aviation administration. Through the connection of the two airline networks, passengers of China southern airlines can transfer to 15 European cities such as Copenhagen and Stockholm through Helsinki, 8 Chinese cities such as chongqing and nanjing through guangzhou, and 8 Australian and New Zealand cities such as Sydney and Auckland. Transfer process is convenient and smooth, passengers can enjoy a ticket to the end, seamless ground service. The two sides meet the growing travel needs of passengers through resource sharing and provide more travel options for passengers. The two sides will continue to seek opportunities together, strengthen cooperation in frequent-flier and lounge areas, and provide more high-end services to passengers to improve their travel experience.
